Purpose

Our Mission

"To sustainably manage the St. Ann's watershed and use it as a model of community forestry."

Our Vision

A healthy agro-forestry environment in Trinidad and Tobago, providing sustainable livelihoods based on the FACRP participatory model of Community Forestry.

What We Do

FACRP delivers its mission through the following programmes and services:

Bush and forest fire mitigation: firebreak cutting and maintenance, rapid response patrols, and fire-season community readiness in the St. Ann's watershed.
Reforestation and watershed rehabilitation: native and local tree planting, check dam construction, and slope stabilisation.
Clean Trees Organic Nursery: propagation of native and local seedlings for our own planting programme and for distribution.
Education and field schools: place-based environmental education, including the Atlantic Environmental Education Series.
Amazonic Programme: an educational storybook and character initiative for schools across Trinidad.
ReWild Watch: citizen-science biodiversity monitoring.
Community forestry capacity building: training and livelihood support grounded in traditional ecological knowledge.

Accountability

Governance & Reporting

FACRP is governed by a board of directors drawn from the Fondes Amandes community and the wider environmental sector. The board is responsible for financial oversight, programme direction and statutory compliance.

The current board was registered under Companies Act Form 8 on 4 February 2026. A list of directors and their roles is available on request, and is also a matter of public record with the Registrar General and the NPO Registrar.
