Today I had to pleasure of working with Fondes Amandes helping nursing baby plants and mixing soil. When nursing baby plants, I noticed that the soil hardens when it goes unchecked. What I had to do was massage the soil to loosen it up so that the baby roots can grow and spread underneath the soil. I also cut off any dead leaves that weren’t any good use to the plant, so that the plant may grow a newer and better leaf on the stick.

When mixing the soil, I had to mix in sand, soil, husk, sand, and rice using shovels. This soil would be mixed for the flower station people so they may use the soil to top off the plants that may be lacking soil.
